The feature works by scanning multiple emails and generating instant summaries of the information inside. Instead of clicking through threads or searching for specific details, you'll get a condensed overview pulled from across your messages.
This is Google's latest move to embed AI directly into the tools people use every day for work. Gmail joins Search, Docs, and other Workspace apps that already have AI features baked in.

The rollout targets work accounts specifically, which makes sense given that's where email overload hits hardest. No word yet on whether this will expand to personal Gmail accounts down the line.
